I knew Joey as my classmate Will's younger brother at St. Anastasia Grammar School and later as a friend in our college years at UC Berkeley. Always happy, always smiling, always ready to have some good fun is how I think of Joey. I literally cannot think of a single time when I did not see him smiling. I remember him always pal-ing around with one good guy friend, be it Mike Lozica or George Applegarth. Joey was liked by everyone because he exuded so much warmth and a sense of camaraderie. Although out of touch for years, we reconnected two years ago via Facebook. I was so happy to sense that he was still the same Joey, ready to have some good fun, in contact with his friend Zeke from college and asking how to be in contact with George. Later I saw Will at a party, and I was able to share one happy, funny college story about Joey which caused Will to immediately phone him. We all had a great laugh and great joy. I think of you with absolute joy, Joey, and when I look at someone who seems ready to be a good friend, I will recognize you in that person. Sending lots of love to you and your family.
